Cao Bang I

My grandmother's hometown is in Cao Bang, Cao Bang is a province in Vietnam's prefecture of Vietnam. My grandmother has a four-year-old Chinese grandfather to Vietnam since the Qing Dynasty invaded Vietnam.

Here is the contact information needed to go to Cao Bang, from Hanoi to Cao Bang is quite difficult, you have to asume you are going to get lost, the highway system of Vietnam has not been developed, so to go away, I think it is very difficult.

But do not be discouraged, I believe that if you try it you will have a great experience.

The story about Ban Gioc waterfalls seems very sad of beautiful love story but is a mark, a sign of love for life. The girl and the boy turned into a violent waterfall, boldly but gentle peace in the scene.

The legend of Ban Gioc water falls

In the past, it was a long time ago, when the Tay people come here to do farming, the life is very difficult. But heaven gave the Tay girls a beautiful, naive and pure as primitive forests. Therefore, at that time, the Tay girls were often in the search area to nominate them to the king. The Tay girls when they were young be taught by their parents to play the musical instrument, learn singing and dancing. The singing has made many royal princess fall in love, so every year, the palace recruited people to, the Tay girls are always the first choice of the local government. Generally, today in Vietnam we still call Tay girls as beautiful, white skin and dark long hair.

One Tay girl, she was so beautiful that the local mandarin recruited her to the cour. But once, the king recruited a wife for the prince, allowing the prince himself to travel to search for the future queen. Upon arriving in this highland of Chongqing, the prince was fascinated by the beauty of the Tay girls. He particularly fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the village, with long hair pointing, black eyes and smooth white skin. Everyone would be happy to have their daughter in the blue eyes of the king, hoping to brighten the village, otherwise I’m sure it would be kind of free taxes for years.

But unexpectedly, she painted the girl refused to love the prince because he had promised to swear to the other side. Denied, the prince is extremely angry with rage. The prince took the girl to bring the bow and the guards guard, not to her contact with the lover. The girl is distressed by the love that is being blocked so she always tries to run away. But unexpectedly, the guy behind the party has forgotten all the dangers, determined to follow his lover and find ways to snatch her from the prince.

On a dark night, at the foot of the city, the young man tricked the guards into a deep sleep and gave the girl a clue. Two couples run to where they were born and have a beautiful love. When the boys and girls ran to Giay, it was dark. They stopped at the edge of the stream at the edge of the forest, sat there together, reminiscing together to celebrate a time of love and bitter when separated. Because of their exhaustion after long fleeing days, both of them have been suffering from flashbacks and happiness.

Where couples love to sleep thousand, people cannot find anybody or any traces. Immediately after the news of two lovers have fled in front of the strict guard of thousands of soldiers, people witnessed the weather pouring rain all week. Water flooded streams, no one dared to go out because of heavy rain with severe thunder. Strangely, when the rain stopped, people saw two large white waterfall poured over the side of the village. At the foot of the waterfall, the water surface is green and peaceful. Since then, people have called this place the Ban Gioc waterfall to commemorate a king's adventures, also the pride of the Tay people with beautiful sky.

It is rumored that the waterfall in the middle of the three floors, there are two levels close together as the couple hugged each other. This is the image of the son holding his lover in the lap, both crying. The tears flow into the torrent of waterfalls. The waterfall on the right from the foot of the cascading waterfall look unstoppable is the image of the prince. Prince regret that sadness that sorrow regret the love of his daughter and also transformed into evil. But the tears of the prince are also mixed with the tears of the lovers for the admiration of the love of the couple.

Near to Ban Gioc waterfall, there is Truc Lam Pagoda, climbing to the top to see the waterfalls but slightly tired. In the waterfall buy tickets 25k / person.

Truc Lam Pagoda

This is the first temple built at the northern frontier of the motherland. Ban Giac Buddha Temple was built magnificently and spacious on Phia Nhu mountain, in the hamlet, Dam Thuy commune, about 500m from the Ban Gioc waterfall. It took me 15 minutes to climb from the bottom of the pagoda to the temple, from the temple can see the entire Ban Gioc Waterfall.

From the temple of Truc Lam Ban Gioc Buddha, I can observe the entire Ban Gioc waterfall.

Started from 6/2013, Buddhist temple Truc Lam Ban Gioc includes the main items: gate triangles, bell tower, drum floor, stone and three security, churches, ethnic temples, Nam Viet Trieu Hung Vuong's generations, guest houses and auxiliary landscape items.

Taking a photo with my brother in Truc Lam Pagoda!

From the bell tower, I can see Ban Gioc waterfall at the foot of the mountain.

I find this is a beautiful wonder that the presence of the temple at Ban Gioc Waterfall contributes to improve the spiritual life of ethnic minorities and the peace and friendship in the border area.

I zoomed out from sight, from above, Qui Son River winding smooth silver silk, squeezed at the foot of the mountain, through the rice paddy fields in the Moroccan wetlands. The sound of the water rumbled, resounded, sounded like an eternal echo, eagerly flowing continuously flowing constantly.

From a height of more than 30 meters, the water drains freely on limestone steps. The river turns into broad rocky tissues with bushes, grass, branching naturally into three streams of water.

Then I stared to the left, a wide strip of water flowing across the wide flume - called the waterfall - with a lot of interwoven water, curved like a curtain of great impulse nature. On the right side of the waterfall - the main waterfall, I witnessed low terrain but more powerful water flow.

Qui Son River in this time suddenly as quiet as the mirror, seemingly the flowing power of the majestic waterfall near the other just enough to free up the waves of dreamy waves spread, both sides of the landscape is poetic landscape. With forests, mountains surrounding, herds of cattle, buffalo herds grazed grass.

I imagine the old army troop, cross the rapids to the territory of Vietnam to preserve the border.

If you have a history, just 20 years ago, there was a bloody war, which I call war on border protection against Chinese invasion.

We stayed at the Waterfall for a while, then we continued on the way to Nguom Ngao cave near (remember to wear sneakers because the inside is easy to slip). 35K / more tickets.

Nguom Ngao cave

My first impression was a limestone cave intact with wild charm. Nguom Ngao in Tay dialects means Tiger cave, also known as "the cave in the middle of the rocky valley”.

According to information, Nguom Ngao Cave has a total length of 2, 144m, but the exploit is just over 900m, including three main doors: Nguom Lom door cool year, lying under the rocks down of Moutain; Nguom Ngao gate a few hundred steps from the foot of the mountain and Ban Thuon door behind the mountain, adjacent to the village of the Tay.

I heard that it was possible to take people to the Chinese market on the other side of the Ban Gioc waterfall, but I asked the people around that they said only people can go back, tourists might be imposed death penalty. Vietnam has three small waterfalls, beautiful waterfall, beautiful and majestic, but in the Chinese territory.

2h30 departure to Cao Bang city, 6h to eat a slice of school specialty slice, then go to eat sour soup, roasted duck pho, snails... Should go a little early like us, at 7h.

Sunday: 7am to get up to eat duck noodle in Binh Yen restaurant, this restaurant is crowded with good food (it is located on the left hand side of the house, go straight to the crossroads to see this restaurant).

Once eating is finished go to the pastry shop in the market to buy things, buy water, fruit and wait for the bus to Ha Quang. Tickets 35K / person, tell them where is the nearest Pac Bo cave, then let yourself down. Down the fork of renting a motorbike into Pac Po cave (5km away).

Pac Bo, also known as Coc Bo Cave, is considered the birthplace of the Vietnamese revolution. The current Pac Bo monument complex is also honored with various sacred concepts, marking the footsteps of leaders such as Nguyen Ai Quoc (Già Thu, Ông Ké, Hồ Chí Minh) Duong Hoai Nam (Vo Nguyen Giap).

But although the Vietnamese state is now trying to restore this sacred site to spiritualize the place is considered a source of revolution.

The Communist Party regularly organizes trips to the youth of our students who come to Pac Bo to find valuable historical relics: milestone 108 - where Ho Chi Minh was the first time. To set foot on Mother Earth after 30 years trip three countries, find a way to save water. The background of Mr. Ly Quoc Su, Pac Bo, where Uncle chooses to work and accommodation to lead the Vietnamese revolution; Stone table "fight the Party history"; The Lenin stream, the Mark, the Khuoi Nam, the Duong Van Dinh... and feel the scene of Pac Po.

There are 2 choices of 3-wheeled motorbike rental at 30K / car / way. Method 2 is to rent a car 100K including gas (3 people). On arrival at the ticket price of 20K, the delegation has eight people can register to accompany the tour guide to explain yourself. May too we have 4 people, joining the same group is just enough.

Visit Lenin stream, Uncle Ho Memorial House. The stream water is called in the clear, flowing from the limestone mountains as green as the jade. HoChiMinh in this beautiful place, sure to save the country.

In the afternoon, we went to Cao Bang to rest and eat near the resort, eat bun cha, shrimp noodles, then go to eat her yogurt. All on Orange Garden road out there.

Finished 8pm we go to the bus station to pick up ourbus to Hanoi.
