very boring.. there is no life in Venice, localites are very greedy people and racist in nature, many don't even rent apartments if one can't speak Italian or if one is an Erasmus student
Would you recommend the city and the University of Venice to other students?
nope for the reasons mentioned above
What is the food like?
very bad as the businesses don't care for quality or taste.. they are so used to tourists that they don't give a damn for reputation
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Venice?
a lot in time, effort and what not
How much does it cost to live in Venice?
its a over hyped place
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
language courses yes.. learning any new language takes time and practise
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Venice from your city?
flight is better.. one can even take trains or buses
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Venice?
yes but nothing much happens and everything closes down by 12AM
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Venice?
the only Japanese place in Canareggio offers good buffet
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
many
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Venice in the future?
just take a holiday trip and choose your Erasmus elsewhere to get an experience of a lifetime
