What is it like to live in Varese? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It depends on what you are looking for, not the best city to have parties, but anyway you can find some nice club, above all during the summer, Zero Club like 20 min from Varese for example

What is the student lifestyle like in Varese?

The problem are the transport, there is no subway e no buses during the night, if you live in the center it couldn´t be a problem. If you want to reach some club outside Varese it could be an hard thing, exept you don´t decide to come back in the morning.

How much does it cost to live in Varese?

It is a bit expensive, transport, food, club, totally different from Prague, don´t think you will get in a bar for 2-3 euro, at least 15 euro with the drink. A bottle beer can cost like 2-3 euro, a cocktail 6-7 euro. A rent in the center is like 400 euro I think. If you go eating a pizza at least will spend 20 euro with drink.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food in Italy is good in general, but I would´n suggest to eat in the center, go outside to find some better and cheaper food. Try Lasagne or pasta with pesto

What places would you recommend visiting in Varese?

If you like artist stuff and want a relaxing summer under the sun go to Estensi Garden. and given that you are in Varese go visiting some places nearby like Lugano and Como

Is the nightlife good in Varese? Where is good to go?

If you stay in the center in Varese without going near Milan, during the week is above all a dead city in winter, during the summer is better cause stundents don´t go to school. In the weekend you will find people having a drink outside the bars untill 2 o´clock then they will move to the disco near Milan

What advice would you give future students heading to Varese?

Go there only if you want a relaxing time
