What is it like to live in Valletta? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Valletta is a wonderful city full of unknown places to discover. During the day (until 6 pm) it is surrounded by workers, otherwise, it is such a silence city and you will have hard times in recognising it as a capital.

Full of restaurants and shops, it is a lack of supermarkets which are not present. Anyway, at the entrance of the city, there is the bus station; every single bus running for Malta start there.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valletta?

Valletta is a small city; I will recommend to rent a flat there just in case you have a stage or an interneship; for a student it is maybe better live in Msida or Gzira.

How much does it cost to live in Valletta?

Valletta, as all Malta is really cheap. A 3 months bus ticket for a student costs less than 70 euros. You can go out for dinner in a restaurant for 20 euros and the nightlife into the bars it is really not expensive (beer 30 cl 2 euros).

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valletta? Is there any advice you can give?

Don't book with an agency. It is really easy to find places for living in Malta. A good flat, with new furniture and a room for your own, will not cost more than 300 euros. In the zone of San Julian prices are a bit different but in any case never more than 320-350 euros month.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Lampuki and the rabbit which are typical.

Try Legligin restaurant for sure the best restaurant in Malta.

Nightlife is not as well developed as in Paceville. Anyway, there are a lot of nice bars and pubs. My favourite are:
