17 March! St. Patricks day!
Good morning to everyone! Here we are one more day to continue with the Fallas walk!
Let's go to the Mascletà! and then... why not eating something special around the Carmen District?
If you like pasta "La Papardella" is one of the best italian restaurants near the Miguelete. There is also a new one called "La Nicoletta" in the peace street (calle de la paz). But it's a bit more expensive... (they charge you 8 euros just for the bread! )
And if you want some French flavours... you will find the Creperie Bretonne just in front of La Papardella! There you can enjoy a decilious crêpe with a glass of fresh cider.
But we are in Valencia, so why not having a good paella? But beware... many places are just what I call "Paella for tourists" (bad paella at high prices). I recommend you go to "Racó del Túria" a very typical place to have Paella in Valencia. I went there last week and I can tell you that everything was delicious!
If you prefer to have some "tapas" there are lots of places near the virgin's sq. where you can have good "Bravas", "Tortilla de Patatas" or "jamón serrano"... La taberna de la Reina, Jamón Jamón, la Dehesa de Santa María...
Don't forget to celebrate St. Patricks! There are lot of places to have a fresh pint. The Max Max pub-near Xuquer sq.. - is always crowded with foreigners who want to be near a good falla and also enjoy a good live concert inside.
Well... I'm going to the Mascletà! See you!
