Experience in University Paul Valéry - Montpellier III, France by Hannah
Generally, what is University Paul Valéry - Montpellier III like?
Paul Valery is a mixture of modern and traditional architeture and there is plenty greenery- one can easily find a nice corner to relax in the sun.
What are the facilities like?
Facilities are straightforward-sufficient libraries, though not enough dvds for loan. The printing system is a pain ( minimal printers available, and USB is essential during the process).
What are the tutors like?
The majority of tutors are french natives and all of them have their own techniques and methods, but generally, teachers of language courses are clear, patient and understanding.
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
There are often free lectures, some drama productions and clubs, many of which are support based or art related.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
More use of interactive lessons would be useful and more handouts could be given.
Are there any stories you can share?
More sports facilities can be offered on campus, rather than having to commute to centres outside the uni, although the membership is worth the money.
