Experience in University of Porto, Portugal by Daniel

Generally, what is the University of Porto like?

The University of Porto is very spread, I mean it lacks one big campus with all the faculties nearby.

Nevertheless, it does have a lot of activities and a spirit of unity of different courses. You will see a lot of academic tradition, and a lot of "Harry Potter" like people. You'll get time to know about it!

What are the facilities like?

They are generally really good.

Tutors I can't generalize. But I can tell you Portuguese people who apply for tutor are really open minded to different cultures and ready to make you guys party and enjoy like you never did before!

Are the lessons easy in University of Porto?

For my experience the Faculty of Economics, it isn't that easy. The University of Porto is one of if not the best university in the country.

Another thing... it can happen to be hard to find some of your desired subjects being lectured in English. We still working on the internationalization.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

A lot! Not quite the University itself. But in Porto you will find a strong students organizations ready to provide you some nice cultural activities. Search for the students association of your faculty and demand them to help you with your extra curricular needs!

So many. But they are mine! So go out there in Porto and get your owns! I'm sure you will love it.
