What is it like to live in Unity? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Fort Walton beach, Florida for 10 years if a long time. I honestly love it and enjoyed living where I live, in fact, I usually go back during my summer breaks to go visit friends and see my hometown. I feel like it is always jammed packed and always filled with adventures! 

I didn't really live in a city, it was known as a city, but it doesn't resemble anything that of a city. Atleast unless you drive to Pensacola or to Destin, then you will see more of a city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Unity?

Student life where I am from is always fun! It really depedns on the the kind of student you are. If you are a big party go-er you will definately find your cup of tea there. If you are a very active person, you could play sports or join clubs. Its very diversed and really depends on the kind of person you are personally.

How much does it cost to live in unity?

this depends on your accommodations plus if you are willing to work a part time job or a full-time job as well. if you do, then about 500-600 may be enough. But it really depends on you accommodations. ( living in dorms tend to be much cheaper unless you can find yourself a roommate!)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Unity? Is there any advice you can give?

this is really mixed, because in one hand, it can be, atleast depending on the area or city you may want to try to go and find a place to call home.

The best isea I can give is to look on craigslist to see if you can find anything.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Where i am from, southern food is very good and I honestly don't think much can really beat it.( atleast other than Turkish food, which is one of the few things that I will admit to.) But living in Florida, we are very well known for making great seafood, and when I mean great seafood, I weally mean it. Fishes, Crabs, and Lobsters, all cook to perfection, just enough to make your mouth water. 

My favourite thing to always eat was seafood, and this usually ment shrimp, and crab legs. My favourite place to go to would either be Red Lobster or Joe's shrimp shack.

What places would you recommend visiting in Unity

About an hour one way, you can find yourself at Pensacola,which is one of the biggest cities in Florida. Its a wonderful city and has a lot more actiivties to do compared to Frotwalton Beach. about 35 minutes the same direction is Crestview, which has a complete wonderful country view. If you go out about 2 hours west in the same direct of these two cities, you would find yourself in mobile Alabama. 

If you go more eastward you would find yourself in Destin, which is one of the best area for shopping, since it is filled with so many outlet malls. 

If you go north about 2 and a half hours, you will arrive t the capital, which has remarkable historical sites and locations to see.

Is it good to eat out in Unity? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I believe Fort Waltion Beach has wonderful places to eat, especially for sea food. Anything outside of seafood resturants, the next closest places to eat would be Cracker Barrel, Outback Steak or Ruby tuesdays. These are wonderful places to eat.

Is the nightlife good in Unity? Where is good to go?

Howl by the Moon and any of the clubs near the beach are the best places to go out and dance at. Of course there are also house parties. But the best places to go to are clubs.

What advice would you give future students headed to Unity?

Just have fun, enjoy the beach, enjoy the laid back-ness and the very help locals. Theres no need to stress out about much.
