What is it like to live in Udine? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's a peaceful city, very nice and very beautiful, with a lot of Erasmus Students. You should see the castle in Udine. People ride on bike in the street, lot of bus, it's very easy to moving in this city.
What is the student lifestyle like in Udine?
The students nights are often the Fridays or the Wednesday, the italian student like to share moments together in bars, in the street but not really in nightclub.
How much does it cost to live in Udine?
It's less expensive than France but not so much. For a Romanian or a Czech it's a bit expensive, it depends. For example a cocktail in Udine is 6 euros. In France it's 8 or 10 euros.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Udine? Is there any advice you can give?
No. And if you are an Erasmus student I can give you this advice: meet Fulvio Fiorentin at San-giacomo, it's a very kind and fantastic estate-agent and he find all accomodation for Erasmus or Italian student. If you do this, say hello to him from Guillaume C, from France.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Pasta, of course! If you like this, you have so many dishes you can try! My favorite dish in Italy was the pasta, del Rigatto, with curry... So good!
What places would you recommend visiting in Udine?
Some churches, and the Piazza della Libertà, but the town is not very touristic. Nevertheless, Udine is a very beautifull globally.
Is it good to eat out in Udine? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yeah, it's good, a bit expensive for a student, but you have to try!
Is the nightlife good in Udine? Where is good to go?
Bars, bars, bars... Only this, if you want to dance, a bar named 3jolie is fun, but you can go to Minamoro (a nightclub) but it was far from my house, so I never went.
What advice would you give future students heading to Udine?
You should find a roomate, it's the best for Erasmus, if you are a girl, like a boy, share moment with others student is the best part. Be happy, don't worry...
