Why did you choose to go to Udine, Italy?
Because of the professor I was working with.
What is the student lifestyle like in Udine?
It isn't expensive. One can easily find cheap shops and also cheap rooms to rent.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Udine to other students?
Yes. Absolutely. Why not?
What is the food like?
It is mostly common Italian foods: Pasta & Pizza.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Udine?
Yes! I was able to easily find a proper room for myself. Living in a dorm was also a nice experience for me.
How much does it cost to live in Udine?
You may pay about 250-300 for a single room, about 100 for eating if you cook most of the times, or you can use special card which costs about 2-4 per meal, and about 100 for travelling around.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There are some Italian courses but it costs about 600 €. Unfortunately if your mother language is English, you may have some difficulties, since most of the people or even students are not able to speak English.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Udine?
The centre of Udine is the most crowded place of the city at nights. There are also 2 big shop centers: Terminal Nord and Citta Fiera, which is open till 8 p. m.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There is an old palace in centre which is beautiful.
