Generally, what is University of Cyprus like?

The University of Cyprus is a public university, in which a few students are accepted every year. It offers many courses and it is quite a big university.

What are the facilities like?

The university was recently built and the buildings are very modern. There are cafeterias in every building and the campus is beautiful. There are many students and the campus is always busy. There is a bank, a kiosk, a bookshop and a hair studio on campus.

What are the tutors like?

There are many tutors and each one has a different personality. Mostly, they are helpful and very polite with students who seek for help. As in every class, it is important to participate, so that the teacher gets to know you and he will remember your name later.

Are the lessons easy in University of Cyprus?

The lessons are not always that easy at the UCY, but the teachers are there to help and studying is very important. Some teachers believe that attendance is key, therefore students must attend lessons. Also, I am not sure if lessons are offered in English or other languages.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

The University does not organise many activities, there are some parties or celebrations throughout the year, but I believe that the ESN is always a more organised choice if international students want to see Cyprus and go out.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Quality of teaching is very high, since it is one of the best universities in Cyprus.
