Airplane meal

So, I had chosen a standard meal to have during my flights, so that I was kind of looking forward to it, however, it was approximately only 2 hours  flight from Tbilisi to Istanbul and I thought, that there wouldn’t be any meals during that time. Fortunately, after one hour or so the stewardess came down on the isle and asked us about the meal. We had a sandwich and a fruit pie and this sandwich was pretty large and delicious with some ham and tomatoes and salad leaves and cheese and mayonnaise. We had also some juice or whatever we would like and I had some orange juice, which was really refreshing.

Well, I had not been to Ataturk airport until that and so that it was my first time being there. I knew, that the airport was a fancy place and it was pretty huge and everything. getting there we went through the passport control and stuff and then we were in the airport and we could walk there all we wanted.

To be honest, I was going to look at all the things there in the airport, because I had 8 hours until my flight to Copenhagen, so that I could do anything during that time.

Wi-fi

I must tell you, that there was not many places, where you could have a wi-fi connection. There was this place though, just in the middle of the airport hallway, where there were some chairs, but there was almost never a free place to sit, unless you were waiting for someone to stand up so that you could rush and sit on it. So, there was this wi-fi connection for free, however, you ought to have your phone number written on the web page and then they would send you a message and then you had to fill in the code that they had sent you and you would get an hour free wi-fi connection. I think, you will agree with me, that one hour is not something when you have to be there for all that eight hours, but still, it was something. So that I went online and texted my family and told them where I was and that I was alright and everything.

There’s another thing, it’s always a problem charging your phone whenever you want it and wherever you are, so iit’s really necessary to have a power bank with you. I had it bought fortunately, so that I didn’t really have a huge problem about getting my phone dead or something like that. There were also some plug-ins in the airport to charge your electronic devices, however, most of them were occupied and some of them did not work and some of them were in such places, where it was impossible to sit or be there.

Another thing you can do to have a wi-fi connection is to go inside a café there in the airport and show them your plane ticket and they will give you a password, which you can use to connect to their internet , however, most of them are time-limited, so that you won’t have an unlimited internet access there either, unfortunately.

To be honest, I didn’t know, whether they would give you their wi-fi password with just showing them your plane ticket at the cafes, so that I ordered some things, too, so that I could sit there and enjoy being there, too. Though, there were some people just sitting and nobody told them to go or something like that, so that, I guess, you could just go in there and sit beside the table just like that.

Café Nero

One of the places like that was called Café Nero, where I went. There were many people there and there were also some comfortable chairs besides the normal ones and I was lucky to have one of them, because just at that time when I was looking for a sit some couple finished their meal and went out and they had those comfortable seats taken, so that they got vacant and I decided to sit there, and, well, I was going to be there for a couple of hours not going to go anywhere else!

Well, they had so many delicious things, that I got a little shocked and I wanted to eat and drink everything there, however, that was not possible, of course, because, first of all, I couldn’t be able to eat all those sweets and drink those coffee and shakes and other stuff, and secondly, I would spend too much money there while doing so, because there was nothing cheap there.

They had all those fruit tarts and cheesecakes and chocolate cakes and stuff and they had milkshakes and fruittellas and different types of coffee. There was this new thing though, triple Belgian chocolate shake, so that I took it and it was very delicious, so that if you love anything with chocolate, you should definitely have that thing if you are in the Ataturk airport in Istanbul.

Well, I didn’t buy any cake, because I still had that fruit pie cake from Turkish airlines’ meal on the plane and I decided to have it eaten there while drinking that triple Belgian chocolate shake.

I also showed my plane ticket  to the consultant guy and he gave me a password to their wi-fi and then I had an internet access there and I could sit there as long as I wanted!
