I´m from Portugal and I was in Turim during 6 months with the Erasmus programme.
During that period at least once/twice a week I couldn´t resist going to Gelateria La Romana, usually the one in Via Madama Cristina. That´s why I gain a few pounds during those months!
First of all the price is really catchy, only 2 euros for a big two flavour icecream and a foundue at the bottom of the cone that was to die for!! You have a
lso crepes, cakes, and other options to eat but I advise to trie first the icecrem.
Second, you have a huge variety of flavours to choose from.
The ones I tried and loved were "150 anni dell’Unità d’Italia", "Bacio di dama con mandorle tostate", "Biscotto della nonna", "Crema di nocciola al cacao", "Frutti di bosco" and "Gianduia con "Nocciola Piemonte IGP". The icecream is so smooth and creamy, mix with crocant nuts or almonds depending on the flavour you choose. I´m now back in Portugal and I can´t find any place with an icecream like that!!
Thirth and last the workers are so nice, always with a smile when you enter the door and a "ciao" when you leave!
Hope you go there and love it too!!
Ciao :)
