Why did you choose to go to Turin, Italy?

i chose torino because of my university, politecnico di torino. the university is famous for a superb academic environment and its links to the people in industry.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

there are different scholarships. some of them are need based while the other are merit based, though merit is compulsory even in need based. anyone can avail the the scholarships for their whole duration of study if they are able to maintain their credits which are assessed twice or thrice every year.

What is the student lifestyle like in Turin?

honestly, it is not one of the perfect student life in here but still torino has alot to offer for students. cheap education, comapritively cheap residence, loads of academic and non academic activities etc etc. on a short note students from developing world will find it a perfect place and those from developed world will find it just a normal place.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Turin to other students?

totally, to every student who wants to get a world class academic degree on least costs, you cant find a better place than this.

What is the food like?

oh yea, there is a huge variety of food available. infact the city is famous for a wide range of cuisines available.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Turin?

yea it does cost initially. but its not necessary for everyone. if you know any one here before coming here, he/she can arrange for you without someone gets paid for it.

How much does it cost to live in Turin?

it totally depends on your way of living. for a normal person i think 400 euro, in case he want a single room, is enough.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

i wont say its easy enough to learn it quick but its not much complicated as well. university do provide language classes and also anyone can get it for almost free outside the university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Turin from your city?

for me i had to come by air. there are many choices available and i think i think from within europe or italy, train would be more economical.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Turin?

loads of choices, no one can go with one choice.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Turin?

well it depends on taste totally.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

torino has always been strategically important city, so it offers alot in case of cultural.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Turin in the future?

avail the chance of studying in this amazing city,honestly.get to know your academics and italian education system soon. the sooner you do it the better it will for you.
