Turin 08/09

It was an unforgettable experience. It is one of the best cities to do your Erasmus programme. It has approximately one million inhabitants; therefore, it is a medium-sized city where you won’t get bored. Turin offers a wide range of activities for Erasmus students; the weather is similar to the weather in Murcia during no-winter months, when the weather is really cold. Prices for renting a flat are similar to the prices in the rest of Italy (about €350 per month); there are a lot of offers to rent a flat and that is exactly the advantage. The University is generally well organized and it has an efficient International Relations Service. Every day of the week there is a party. Communications with Murcia are the only disadvantage: from Alicante airport to Milan-Bergamo airport; after that, you have to take a bus to Central Milan (about €8) and after that you have to take a train to Turin Porta Nuova (€9.20). At the end of the year, this train-bus-plane movement makes you get tired, but I recommend the experience 100%. The most difficult degrees in Turin are related to the Technical College (one of the most famous all over the world), Law and Medicine (compared to University of Murcia I would say that “for the same effort, the reward is higher”).

Good luck to those starting the travel!

Ci vediamo!!

Hi! Thanks for the very useful information! I am thinking about going to Turin myself and I had a few questions: Did you had trouble finding and enrolling in the courses you wanted to take? I mean, I never had Italian lessons or anything, I am afraid I won't understand anything. :) Of course I plan on taking Italian lessons before I leave. Is the University erasmus-friendly? Thanks again for the information! Bye! Marie
