What is it like to live in Turin? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I really would recommend it since it is both quite and engaging, such as Turin people, so you decide if your day will be a peaceful one or an exciting one.

What is the student lifestyle like in Turin?

It is a lot of fun, Italian people are very friendly, and students often go to parties.

How much does it cost to live in Turin?

Not so much, although it is a big city, prices are quite on the average.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Turin? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it isn't. A lot of people rent their flats, obviously the more they are near to the city center, the more they cost. The advice would be to share it to reduce the price.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

It is very good, as all Italian food is. You can find Italian dishes as well as local dishes: about that, Turin is particularly famous for chocolate, confectionery and liquors. Try the "Bicerin", it literally means "little glass" in our dialect and it is made of hot chocolate and liquor. The receipt is actually a secret so you can only try it at Bar (coffee shops).

What places would you recommend visiting in Turin?

Visit it all! It's amazing. My favourite places? Real Palace and Valentino's Park.

Is it good to eat out in Turin? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Usually, young people gather in San Salvario, a neighborhood near the center of the city. There you can find a lot of good restaurants such as Sarchiapone, they make a very good pizza.

Is the nightlife good in Turin? Where is good to go?

It is very good: there are always a lot of events to attend. It is difficult to say which is the best place since the trendy one always changes very quickly.

What advice would you give future students heading to Turin?

Try to know the more people you can, we all are very open and friendly so you can go deep in our culture. Have fun!
