My scholarship lasts ten weeks and I received between 2000 and 2500 to help me with the living costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Turin?

Students like to go out on Saturdays evenings in the centre of Torino. But they sometimes also go out on a week evening. The chemistry students like to go eat at the Valentino park when it's sunny and they drink a lot of coffee. So you have to get used to having a lot of people around the coffee machine.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Turin to other students?

I don't know because I'm not really a student so I don't really know of the University is. Just how it looks.

What is the food like?

There is a lot of pizza and pasta of course! The food is really good and it's also cheap which is good.

Not really. It was just difficult to find a place that accepts cat because my roommate wanted to take her cat.

It depends because some Italians talk really fast. But since it sounds a little like french I can understand when they talk slowly. And some people know how to talk English so if you talk English you can do everything.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Turin from your city?

From where I live it was easier to take the plane to the Turin airport. And after a bus to Turin.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Turin?

The center of Turin obviously! All the streets around Via Roma are full of people at night and there are a lot of bars.

All the restaurants that sell pasta or pizza in Turin are good. But if I really have to choose I would say a restaurant in the 8 gallery called Rossopomodoro if I remember correctly.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are all the streets in the center, the Valentino park. There is a castle in the Valentino park that is really beautiful. And there is also the cinema museum.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Turin in the future?

Italians don't know how to drive so you have to be careful when you cross the streets. Because they don't care if the light is orange they will accelerate.

Try to learn a little Italian because unfortunately there aren't a lot of people who own shop who can speak English because they are old and English wasn't that important at the time.
