What is the student lifestyle like in Turin?
Student life really depends on how much do you want to study, there are study rooms accessible to everyone in many parts of the city, a lot of entertainment that can range from very cheap to somewhat expensive, but almost everyday there's something fun to do.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Turin to other students?
Yes! The city is beautiful and the University very nice.
What is the food like?
Food is good, apericena is a great idea, in general you can have the italian classics like pizza or international food.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Turin?
Accomodation is hard to find, so you have to be searching for it early on. It's hard to fine a room/appartment in the city center that is not too expensive, so start searching soon!
How much does it cost to live in Turin?
For a single room, rent is between 350-450 usually, transport 25 a month and the other expenses depending on where you buy food, can vary a lot if you buy in a supermarket or in one of the many open markets in the city.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
As a native spanish speaker the language is easy to grip, in general I think it is not too hard. Language courses are available for every Erasmus.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Turin?
Just search for an event! Facebook is a great place to know what is happening in the city, concerts, parties, etc. Usually going to San Salvario for a drink doesn't disappoint.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There are a lot of cultural things to do! Try the Torino-Piemonte museum card for free entry to a lot of museums for a year, also a lot of places have free entrance once a month.
