Amazing Jazz Festival in Tabarka

Tabarka is a wonderful coastal city located in the amazing northern region of Tunisia characterised by the most amazing view ever with a superb mountain and a very clear sea like the blue sky. I went to visit this amamzing city with members of my family, we reunited together in one sunny and amazing day and decided to go visit this amazing place because we wanted to attend the famous festival of jazz that will be organized in the city, a chance for us to have a totally different spectacle and an amazing way to live new kind of feelings and sensations. We chose to go by car as it was the best way for us and we travelled almost two hundred kilometres to reach this wonderful city full of charm and of joyful atmosphere. Going in family also allowed us to distress a lot and to tell jokes about each other we really had an amazing mood during the travel to increase the excitement and the good vibes to spend the most amazing and great moments during our trip.

1- Coral collection

The beautiful town of Tabarka is well-known for being a city enriched with coral that can be collected from the depths of the sea that surrounds it. There is even a special event where people can enjoy the coral by different ways which is the festival of coral that is held every year in the city, in fact Tabarka is a touristic city in the first place but it offers also a huge variety of activities and places to see, the coral is actually a animal like the sea star that lives in the deep of the sea and have a special colour in red that give it a special and amazing admiration by people. The locals actually organise during this special event a great gathering and they use this amazing treasure that they collected from the sea by doing the scuba diving and by searching very well for the best animals and with the best quality. Then the use them to do mainly jewellery made by hand so they create bracelets, pearls, earrings, chains all made manually from pure coral very beautiful and magnificent and that they can later expose in their stands in the market and that they can commercialise and many people prefer to buy them than the fake jewelery. I remember that I already bought a necklace made of coral and shellfish that remained for me as a beautiful souvenir of the city. The coral is a special characteristic of this city and anyone wanting to discover it will have a huge amazing show to see the men while doing scuba diving and collecting it, the prices also are very cheap and suitable for all people to buy such amazing souvenirs for their women.

On the other hand the city offers an amazing view and harmony of nature a mountain crossing by an amazing blue coloured sea that offers also huge and amazing rocks inside the sea, the rocks have the form of knitting needles, people even call them needles coming from the deep water and the sea, when the sea is agitated and waves splash into these rocks the view is really amazing so much and people start to photograph this amazing and charming landscape. These rocks are standing from years in that special place and are a really magical view, in the other part there is a small river very calm where I could personally put my feet in the clear water and see the small animals of the sea and collect some rocks also and shellfishes.

2- Jazz Festival

During our amazing walk through the city streets, we were surprised by the beautiful view the city is offering and the various restaurants near the city that gives even more charm and more magic to the place. We discovered a huge place where the most famous and the international artists from all over the world were invited to perform their best albums of jazz, this so wonderful and cool music that gave us much emotions and big hopes that the night will be the best spent out ever. In fact the festival was continuing until the sun rise so people were not thinking about sleep, the music of jazz was heard by the speakers and the singers performed the best songs they had under the clapping of the public that were having fun, enjoying a lot the mood and the amazing atmosphere that was transmitting many messages of love, prosperity and fraternity. The coolest thing is that the singer was playing an amazing masterpiece, we were dazzled by a beautiful piece played by a professional trumpet player who added even more charm to our evening and showed us a beautiful masterpiece from South America, the Jazz is a complete art for those who loves it, and can without uttering a word immerse you in a world full of pure emotions and thirst for spiritual and intellectual freedom that takes you far very far.

3- The Tabarka Fortress

We decided then to live a totally different adventure by climbing the beautiful hill of the Tabarka city to reach the top and do many pictures and to discover the fortress that is like a strong much conserved construction that was originally meant to protect the land from external invasion. We started our adventure by putting our back packs with all the necessary things like the sandwiches, the water and the ropes and all the things. We started our hiking step by step, I liked walking a lot so I did not feel tired even if I walked for hours the weather was just a bit hotter with a strong sun that's why we chose to drink a lot of water to avoid deshydratation and we enjoyed for each step made inside the great vegetation more and more the landscape that was showing us a dense forest and a so clear sea. The coast showed also the strong rocks from far away and some people walking near the sea side.
We finally reached the fortress and we searched for a way to enter inside, it was made really from very strong rocks that are so much conserved until now, it was probably a construction built from the previous centuries to protect the king and the population. It showed also strong iron bars that were covering the windows demonstrating a huge protection ways to the big construction, we entered inside and it was really huge from the inside with a spacious hall and huge rooms around. It did not seem a castle because it did not have the entire commodity a castle would have like a spacious gardens with flowers, the rooms were not so spacious and the walls were protected, that was very clear by the architecture made. We then suddenly heard some sounds that we did not know the origin, it was a baby cat born inside the vegetation and her mummy cat was not there so I remember that we started to treat him well and to give him milk. I like so much these very furry animals and I always wanted to have one at home to rise from the early ages, so we decided to take it with us to fin by this way a better shelter and a greater place of residence. we could have our sandwiches in the top of the hill while we were talking and laughing, probably the beauty of the view influenced our psychological state and we became very happy, smiling and felt much excitement, the kind of feelings that emerge us during the travels and that we could mainly express in very amazing way. Finally we finished our trip by going back home with our memories full of great events, amazing adventures and beautiful landscape. I was sure the city was offering even more magical landscapes and hidden places. Many cities located in the northern region of the country offers the best view ever without the need of paying so much money we could really enjoy ourselves a lot, while it is of course a touristic place for many married people prefer to spend their honey moon in Tabarka. The hotels five stars are also very frequent in the city and the price of one night is very expensive. We need just to choose the right location and the right place to enjoy the best journeys ever.
