Amazing adventure in Heouaria

Heouaria is a Tunisian city that is wonderful, and so much beautiful especially in terms of green landscapes and views on the sea, In my opinion it was the best trip I ever did before because at that time there was simultaneously the festival of the eagle which is very characteristic of this city and I never really saw such an event before. We reach this amazing city both by means of transportation such as a special bus found in the heart of the capital tunis that reaches cities like menzel tmim, kelibia then heouaria that’s the terminus of the road with a duration of approximatively one hour from the capital.

1- Visit to the center of the city

The emblematic center of the city is all related to the beach, it means that from the first time we put the legs inside the city, a smell of very refreshing breeze of air mixed with salt and lode comes to our noses and indicate us the sea not very far from the city, the houses with white facades and great organization are located near the main commercial shops, the monuments stand their very conserved , the most amazing view if the highest coffee exactly located like sidi bousaid coffee on the top of a hill where people can enjoy the most beautiful view ever, a green mountain standing with a lot of beauty and vegetation and with a view on the sea side that is characterized by a lot of waves and an agitated sea this is mainly due to the high position of the city. One of the most famous characteristics also of the city is the wind, in fact in every season even in spring, the city is windy a lot and many people go sometimes in the purpose of being refreshed inside the city , it has also a huge other symbolic part where a boat that previously drown inside a part of the sea and drown there was extracted and decoration on side of the beach , people when seeing the rest of the drown boat gets surprised and excited to see more of the historical heritage of the city and the patrimonial of such a conserved part of the world. After having a coffee in the most amazing view ever we decided to explore the city streets from inside, that’s exactly where we found out that it was a day of festival, this event is very famous throughout the country and represented a symbolic event for inhabitants.

2- Festival of the eagle

The eagle in Tunisia is considered a royal animal, meaning that his have the amazing force in his two wings that can measure up to one and half meter each, his very strong eyes that can detect small rabbits hidden behind the rocks and hunt them even from very far distance smashing by this way even the human eye capacities, he is considered very wise animal and can get out of the most difficult situations and can even steal sometimes some food from some competitive birds, but he is considered as very elegant by its posture and by its frequent presence in the city’s great mountains, we can find multiple eagle dressers in this city. The often dress and care of the eagle from his born and he is very faithful to them and exactly like domestic animal, so while walking around don’t be surprised of meeting some people dressing eagles and that will propose to you to do pictures with this royal animal on your shoulder which is very common and can also be found in sidi bousaid but in Heouaria it is really very frequent, most of the time it is a very funny adventure and worthy to do, you can feel the eagle’s royal paws standing there like a rock and with something hiding his eyes not to be afraid of to attack anyone, Ihad the experience of touching his hand a bit two times and I believe its an amazing animal. For all these characteristics, the city did an amazing festival just for him. You can also note that the Tunisian football team is also called Tunisian eagles this is mainly due to the fact that the country respects this animal very much to point of designating it many times.
The festival was actually characterized by traditional music around, and many knights everywhere also doing the show by their horses each one holding an eagle as a symbol of the city,

3- Coves and caves

The most amazing characteristic of the city is also coves and caves characterized by crystal clear water where people can swim in the deep water and relax themselves to the maximum, its not very far from the main beach of the city, it can be reached by walking for about three kilometers it have a huge hill and great green vegetation where people can enjoy themselves with the maximum energy, sleep in the shadows of the trees, or do picnics in natural area; people that know very much how to swim find it as the most amazing and paradisiacal place, they can do acrobatics in the air and they can feel the real freedom, they always searched for. It is advised to go to this place alone to feel the real pure of spirit and to concentrate in the crystal color very specific of the sea, and to feel the most great in terms of psychological state and fulfilling the mind with a lot of cultural and spiritual relaxation exactly like the yoga, in fact going alone in a travel allows people to enjoy more the places the monuments and spirit finds its actual pureness because the person can do whatever he likes without any limit while going in big group or going with a partner that does not share with us the same views of life, the same ambitions and the same craziness it would lead more to quarrels and to big issues between the people impacting the mood and the atmosphere of travels that are supposed to be full of excitement and joy.
On the other hand, the city is very famous for the maritime transport and for fish extraction by big boats, the fishermen also very kind people that we can speak with and be in entire prosperity. People say that it the city the most near of Europe and that at some point in the top of the hill we can see the Italian city Sicilia. The maritime transport by the little boats was the main activity especially that there is a factory of tuna production that is mainly fished in the deep sea of the city allowing by this way a huge progression in the economy of the whole country. The city heouaria is also one of the cities most characterized by the production of peanuts that are commercialized throughout the whole country.
We decided to walk inside the city to find some special coffee where we could have a drink and we were surprised at that point to see an amazing tree called millenary olive tree, imposing and with great structure inside the green vegetation, the trunk of this tree is very robust and shows veins of dry raw sap, the vegetation is dense and the shrubs form with the flowers a very radiant landscape harmony that illuminates the city and makes many people want to visit it. Many hikes to Heouaria are nowadays sold and commercialized as it represents a part of the country that is still very far of being totally known and people living in general in the capital Tunis think its really worthy to visit and imply all their capacities to discover the city during trips in groups.
A historic and rocky place is located up to two kilometers from the city to show also another type and very original view, the rocky pieces are disposed in a successive manner with one only narrow opening from where light and air can reach the place in very amazing way I remember at some level the Algarve rock of the Portugal because those rocks give an amazing view and very original type that we never saw in any other country. We discovered the left part of the city to discover one small place that was in my opinion the best place where I put the feet ever, a very clear river water in the middle of the rocks and the vegetations, where we could do a free therapy for our legs while emerging them inside the healing water while it was a very hot and sunny day so it was our chance really to discover the city more from the inside and to enjoy its richness in all the levels.
