I like northern countries and I wanted to see nordic lights too.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Trondheim to other students?

Yes, of course. City is beautiful and University very modern and good equipped.

The food is quite good. But when you want to taste some traditional one in restaurant, it is very expensive.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Trondheim?

No. It was not a problem to find accommodation here.

How much does it cost to live in Trondheim?

For me 3405 NOK for accommodation. Most of the rest costs are for food especially for me (average 12-15€ per day). Alcohol is very expensive here so if someone like party, it will be much more expensive.

There are language courses in University, but I do not go.

Bus (100 km) and then direct flight to Trondheim.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Trondheim?

From view of price the best option is EGON pizzabuffet for 108 NOK. Also Sabrura sushi all you can eat is good. I have a plan to visit some traditional restaurant. I heard that good one is Baklandet Skydsstation.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Source

Nidaros cathedral is the most known one. Next are the fortress, the museum of musical instruments and the science museum. From April it is possible to visit small island on the north where was monastery and prison.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Trondheim in the future?

When you are here for longer period, it is good to buy a used bike from someone.
