What is it like to live in Trondheim? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Beautiful city, not too small and not too big. Something happening every day, student activities, concerts, theatres, etc,. very student-friendly city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Trondheim?

Very active and sporty, a lot of sports you can participate in. I had never seen that many runners out on the streets as when I moved here. Besides sports, there is a «student house» called Studentersamfundet where you can meet up with other students, you can also volunteer there, they have cafes, a restaurant, nightclubs, a theatre group, bands, choirs, etc. And all of this inside of one big red building, a very nice place to meet new people.

How much does it cost to live in Trondheim?

Quite much, housing is quite expensive, but you can find cheaper alternatives a bit outside centrum, Moholt student is popular among exchange students.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Trondheim? Is there any advice you can give?

Not very difficult, the easiest way is probably to try to find accommodation through SIT, the official student organization in Trondheim, they have good prices.

You can also find private places.

The nature around the city, Bymarka, Bakklandet, Munkholmen, Nidarosdomen, Kristiansten Festning.

Is the nightlife good in Trondheim? Where is good to go?

Most students go to Studentersamfundet, but there are several clubs and bars that many go to as well!

What advice would you give future students heading to Trondheim?

Volunteer in Studentersamfundet, go bouldering, participate in sports in NTNUI!
