Why did you choose to go to Trento, Italy?

First of all, I wanted to learn Italian and to gain some experience from living and studying in Italy

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

For 8 months. It covers my dormitory fee and other expenses paid by myself.

What is the student lifestyle like in Trento?

I would say costly! Not a "student Paradise" as Jena, Germany. But I think the overall experience is fine. Students have an opportunity to go around Alp and as well as north Italy.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Trento to other students?

I would recommend those who wants to travel around, learn Italian and experience living in Italy. But I would not recommend those who only wants to party and get crazy. University of Trento has very different operation compare to my University. Neither bad nor good, just very different! For example, some of the courses have way too much workload. So, personally I don't really think that's good.

What is the food like?

You can find variety of Italian food, but availability of other cuisines are very limited. Also, prise of grocery and eating out are rather expensive!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Trento?

No. As an Erasmus student, I got room in San Bartolomeo free of charge. But monthly rent is 330€

How much does it cost to live in Trento?

It depends on how is your life style and skill of cost managing. Approximately 500-700€, but if you stay private accommodation and eat out very often then this cost is much higher.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

If you speak English it is not hard to manage your life there. Also, language courses are available at the university for free of cost, but time tables are not very good.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Trento from your city?

I came by car so I am not expert for this.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Trento?

It could be anywhere, and if you’re with friends much better.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Trento?

Birreria Pedavena, Mizuki and Palazzo Roccabruna.
