What is it like to live in Toronto? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's a very busy, student-friendly city. There are things to do for everyone of every age, and lots of great places to eat. I would definitely recommend it for students. The winters are fairly cold but the summers can get really hot and nice.

What is the student lifestyle like in Toronto?

The students in Toronto work hard, but they also play hard. Living downtown means students are close to all the fun restaurants, bars and clubs.

How much does it cost to live in Toronto?

It typically costs 800-1000 dollars a month to live in Toronto, sometimes more sometimes less.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Toronto? Is there any advice you can give?

No it is not too difficult, but it can be expensive.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There is food from all over the world in Toronto. My personal favourite are Greek and Italian food, but we also have good sushi, Indian, and Thai food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Toronto?

Definitely the CN Tower, the Aquarium, and a sports game for sure to start. I would also recommend visiting the Distillery District, Yorkville, and Queen Street West.

Is it good to eat out in Toronto? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes there is plenty to choose from. Some of my favourites include Trattoria Nervosa, Gusto 101, La Carnita, and Mamakas.

Is the nightlife good in Toronto? Where is good to go?

Yes, there is plenty of nightlife. I would recommend Lost and Found, Everleigh, The Ballroom Bowl, The Madison Avenue Pub, The Libertine, to name a few.

What advice would you give future students heading to Toronto?

I would say to be prepared to do a lot of school work, but also to go out and have fun on weekends because students in Toronto party hard.
