My life in Toronto

The Summer of 2011 was a year that without a doubt, changed my life. I set out on a two month trip to Canada, in which I had the opportunity to live in the city of Toronto and study English. I arrived scared and nervous of what was awaiting me. However on arriving, I perceived a very interesting vibe, given that Toronto is an extremely multicultural city. In the time I studied here, I met people from all over the world, made good friends with some Venezuelans with whom, I could party and have interesting political discussions, Colombians, Argentinians, Chileans, Spaniards, Swiss, French, Italians, Korean, Japanese and of course, Mexicans.

I could enjoy different events, such as the Jazz festival where I saw Aretha Franklin live, the U2 concert with Interpol, the Much Music awards, a red carpet with bollywood stars, the gay pride parade, hockey and baseball games, supporting the Blue Jays! I also visited neighbouring cities, with New York, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec and the marvellous Niagra Falls!

Toronto is a beautiful city which I have an incredible love for as it offered me opportunities to connect with myself, to learn to live on my own and to discover there is an incredible world to travel all over. It gave me the opportunity to get to know incredible people, to live unbeatable experiences, to open my mind and open my adventurous and wander-lusting mind.

Without a doubt, that Summer in Toronto will always be present in my mind and I will continue dreaming of those such incredible moments, hoping to return one day.

I'm surprised that you gave gastronomy only 1 star! You can find great food, and all kinds of food, in Toronto -- and usually at very reasonable prices if you know where to look!

Happy that you had a great experience!!
