I grew up in a small town in nothern Germany. From a very young age I loved spending time by the sea. I used to go with my family for picknicks every summer. As I grew older, I spent time with my friends by the ocean - we got our first cars, would meet, turn up the music of our favorite songs and sing as loud as we could. The destination was often the same: the sea.

We would spend hours just talking, drinking and laughing.

The sea had always been important to me. More than that, I felt like I had to go every now and then. I think it clears your mind and for a few moments, you forget all the stress and worries.

When I decided on my study course, licing close to the sea was a major point for me. That's how I ended up in the Hague. One sunny afternoon, I felt like I had to get out. I hadn't spent much time by the sea although our apartment was only 10 minutes by bike. I put on my running clothes and off I went.

Once I reached the beach, I could not believe how beautiful it was. Right in front of me, was a picture perfect sunset. As I was walking through the sand, I realized there was this cute little cafe with a cool looking van on the side.

I had to come back the next day.

This time, I decided to cycle and take some uni things. That way I could at least attempt to be productive..

The second I entered, I loved the place. The inside looks super cozy and the people working there are all incredibly friendly. Sitting outside was even more beautiful and I ended up spending hours there.

Besided great coffee and food they also have amazing wifi which is great if you have to get some stuff done.

If you are looking for a little quiet space to get productive or even just to chill, this is the place to go! And one thing is sure, you'll love the sunsets..

It is a lot more peaceful than 'Downtown Schveningen'. There are no crouds of people, hardly any tourists get lost to this place and the whole atmosphere is relaxed.
