My favourite cafés of The Hague

My favourite cafés of The Hague

The Hague is full of students - and what do all students love? Coffee! I don't know many students that could survive a week or even a day without a nice cup of coffee. Once in a while, it's nice to treat yourself to a good cappuccino or latte macchiato - especially when I have deadlines coming up, I end up in some cute little cafe. If I stay home, I end up cleaning, eating and doing everything but the work I should be doing.

So during the past year, I've discovered quite some cafés. Some I absolutely love and go to nearly every week, and others I occasionally go back to.

Here is a list of a few of my favourite 'productive' coffee spaces in The Hague.

1. Eat Company - Urban Work Cafe

My favourite cafés of The Hague

This is the place I spend most of my 'productive' coffee time. They don't just have great coffee, but also super refreshing juices, delicious banana cake and sandwiches. All their ingredients are super fresh which makes the food even better. I can spend hours here as also the interior is amazing - it is a very open and light space, plugs for charging everywhere and comfy chairs.

An absolute bonus is the student discount you get. I believe it's like 25 percent on all coffees.

Also, this cafe has another location just across from the Grote Kerk which I prefer for catching up with friends. It's quite a bit smaller but offers the same food/ drinks and is also cozy.

2. Cafe Pistache

This is a cute little place on the corner, by one of the small canals. In the summer, this is the café you can sit in the sun for the longest probably (in the city centre at least). Often the bar across the canal has live music so you'll be able to enjoy the best of both world.

Definitley try their food here, it is absolutely amazing!

3. Bookstore Cafe

This little gem is one of my favourites, interior wise. It actually is packed with books and magazines and the whole atmosphere seems unreal. The cappuccini here are great and this place offers the perfect space for getting together with friends or working on that paper that's due tomorrow.

4. Club Vers

My favourite cafés of The Hague (Delicious salmon avocado bread! )

Located close to Hollands Spoor Station (and therefore close to my university), this is the place we often hangout at after class, before class or during breaks. I absolutely love their 'healthy' pancakes! But then again, almost everything on their menu is delicious so just go ahaed and try yourself through the whole list.

Also here you get a student discount (just not quite sure how much). If you're here to work on you laptop, you also have the chance to charge at like every seat which is really convenient!

5. Bagels and Beans

My favourite cafés of The Hague

As the name says - they have great coffee and bagels. The choice of bagels is quite large and the price range goes from 3 to 8 euros which is perfect for students. My favourite one is a bit outside of town because they have a cute little garden area and huge windows. But the coffee and food will be good, anywhere you go.

There are many more cafes I absolutely love in the Hague and I will definitely name a few more in another article. These are only a handful of the many options you have in the city. One thing is for sure: you'll never have to let a day pass without a good coffee.

If you know any other cafes that I have to check out, feel free to leave a comment.

Enjoy your coffee time!
