What is it like to live in TEGUCIGALPA? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Tegucigalpa is one of the oldest cities in Honduras, it's basically the political center so there is not as much party as in San Pedro Sula.
What is the student lifestyle like in TEGUCIGALPA?
It depends on the carreer and university. My university has a very active student lifestyle but not as much as the US. Many extracurricular activies and parties though.
How much does it cost to live in TEGUCIGALPA?
It's quite cheap fo foreigners considering that $1 is 23 lempiras. So you can buy lots of stuff for few dollars.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in TEGUCIGALPA? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not so hard but yes a bit expensive. If you're looking for appartments in good and safe places look for Las Colinas, La Hacienda, and Las Lomas or near the National University but it's gonna be expensive.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Awesome! Baleadas, tacos, enchiladas, platain chips and fried chicken,
best in the world.
What places would you recommend visiting in TEGUCIGALPA?
El Picacho, and some great clubs such as Casa Latina, Sabor Cubano.
Is it good to eat out in TEGUCIGALPA? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
As many cities we have fast food such as BK, Pizza House or Denny's but we also have great local honduran places with traditional food such as Baleadas Express.
Is the nightlife good in TEGUCIGALPA? Where is good to go?
Very good but they close too early such as the ones mentioned before like Casa Latina.
What advice would you give future students heading to TEGUCIGALPA?
Have fun but be careful with the places and hours you party at night.
