What is it like to live in Tegucigalpa? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Tegucigalpa is a city filled with experiences, from partying hard to visiting art museum, and attending multiculture cinemas. We have a very good weather, not too hot and not too cold.
What is the student lifestyle like in Tegucigalpa?
I believe its good because we have several good universities public, and private. We have good enterntainment, and if you like to party, we have various clubs and bars to attend, and there are constantly new and better.
They also like football, I personnally prefer more Motagua than his enemy Olimpia (López).
How much does it cost to live in Tegucigalpa?
Internationally it's not as high as New-York or Milan.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tegucigalpa? Is there any advice you can give?
There are a lot, hotels, hostels where you can go and they are pretty good most of the time.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is awesome, sure it can be weird for people from across the world but it's really good definetly if you come you have to try baleadas they are the absolute best Honduras has.
What places would you recommend visiting in Tegucigalpa?
- The Museo de la Identidad Nacional (MIN): it constantly has shows and interesting expositions of different things.
- El Picacho: a great landscape with a gigantic crist from which you can ser the whole city. I love panoramas.
- Valle de Angeles and Santa Lucia: two cultural little towns just outside Tegucigalpa.
Is it good to eat out in Tegucigalpa? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, we have amazing local and Central American food such as Pupusas from El Salvador, Baleadas from here. Definitly try the restaurant El Patio to try Honduran good food and do not forget to try the Anafre it's amazing.
Is the nightlife good in Tegucigalpa? Where is good to go?
It's pretty good, if you are around 18-23 you can try Zutts, Barystro, Loca Luna, or Casa de Puros which are bars and for clubs, Vela Luna or Cuvee.
If you are old there is Cien Años, Babel, Pato Mar, Tato's.
What advice would you give future students heading to Tegucigalpa?
Have a great time, meet the culture, party if you like and eat because the food is absolutely awesome.
