Luca Polare

The introduction

Hello everyone,  I hope, that you are all doing juat fine.

In this article I want to tell you about this place called Luca Polare and everything I know about it. Though I can't really tell you much about it, I guess, I will still try and tell you my expressions about this place and how I first visited it and everything and what they have there and, well, there is nit just one branch of Luca Polare in Tbilisi and that's pretty good, too, and I think, I haven't been to all of them.

Well, it's a pretty popular place in Tbilisi and there are some branches of it around the city and you can visit any of them, depending on the location you want to visit or the one that you like. You know, there are many places, where you can go and eat some great ice cream and i'm not talking about those ice creams, which are sold in the supermarkets and which are packaged and stuff like that, you know, but i'm talking about those ones, which are in those containers and you can buy them like balls and then you can have them either with waffle cones or plastic cups or  things like that, and it will just be a great one for your ice  cream.

Anyways, I did not usually go to Luca Polare, however, then I realized, that they had some pretty good ice creams there and when I first tasted them, they were really delicious, especially the chocolate ones, because I love chocolate things very much, so that I took it and was left amazed by it, you know. Well, if you love chocolate, then you will know, that the ice cream should have that special flavour of chocolate to be very delicious, otherwise, it's just not chocolate ice cream and this  Luca Polare has those amazing chocolate flavoured ice creams, which I can eat plenty, i guess, though i don't really test my abilities on eating ice creams, if you want to know the truth.

Well, it's not that simple to just say no to ice creams, however, there are people, who don't really love it and they prefer other things, like chocolates or  cakes to ice creams. There are also people, who just can not stand not eating ice creams and that's pretty bad thing, too, if you ask me. to be honest, everyone should be able to eat everything and then decide, whether they like this thing or not, I mean, there are many cases, when people say about something, that they don’t really like those things, when, in fact, they haven’t even tasted them and, well, there are no arguments about why they don’t like that thing. And, you know, people change or their habits changeand things like that and you may realize, that you love this thing, when you thought, that you didn’t love it. You know , sometimes it's like you know something or you think, that you know something, however, that's not really true and you can not realise it and when you realise it, it may be too late, or better late than never and you should just go for it.

Well, I remember these times, when I was little and we were waiting for this guy to come and bring some ice cream, so that we could buy them and enjoy them, you know. And it was just something every child was waiting for there, because it was something delightful and there was not anything else to get like news or something like that, you know. So, as you know, there are these ice cream machines and there are certain times, when they drive to certain destinations and they have these musics turned on and so that people know when they are nearby and they wait for it and then buy the ice cream. That was the case here with us, too, however we didn't have that pleasure of having those machines with us and there were just those guys with those ice boxes on their backs going from streets to streets and shouting "ice cream, ice cream" and then people would go outside and wait for them and buy those ice creams. The only thing children were waiting for in those summer days was this ice cream guy. Well, those were the days, when people didn't really have money and the life was hard and though we were little, we still didn't feel very poor and we were too littles to understand the situation and our parents tried so many things for us not to feel ourselves poor or something like that. And I don't really remember what was the price for those ice creams, they had one or two types of ice cream and they were pretty delicious for us at that time. There were mostly these glass ice creams or whatever, it was an ice cream i a waffle glass shape or something like that. It was a huge success, if they had another ice cream, which was with a cone and it was long and it was called Eskimo Joker, if I remember correctly and my sister loved that ice cream very much and, I guess, it was only her, who didn't really love that glass ice cream and loved that Eskimo Joker. So that, she was left without an ice cream pretty often , because she didn't want to eat the other ice cream.

Anyways, some ice creams are really great and Luca Polare is one of the places, where I have been and liked their ice creamand that ice cream cones, too, I mean, they have these waffle ice cream cones and they are very tasty and they are kind of crispy and just like the one, that i like, so that I take ice cream in that waffle cone when I'm in Luca Polare, because I want to enjoy my ice cream all from the beginning to the end. you know, there are these plastic cups, too, and those small spoons, which you can take instead of those waffle cones and they are more efficient and when you have those ice cream balls into those plastic cups, it's easier to eat ice cream that way, if you want to know the truth. Well, you can choose either of them and it's all up to you and you don't have to add any money to othat or something like that, you know, so that I still think, that you should take the waffle cone with your ice cream.

The locations and where you can find Luca Polare

well, the first thing, that you should know, is that they are in some places, however, there are not many branches of Luca Polare in Tbilisi and, I think, that there are not necessary to be plenty of them, you know.

The very first time that I visited Luca Polare was on this Pekini ave, because my friends lived there and we were around there and so that we went in and it was late spring, so that everyone ate ice creams and there were many people there. It's a place on Pekini ave somewhere just nearby the metro station, so that it's pretty easy to get there by metro and I mostly prefer going there by  metro, because it's fast and it's very close and you know, how much time it needs to get to the Technical university metro station.

Well, of course, you can get there by bus and there are buses that go to that place and they are bus No.150 and 85 from Delisi metro station surroundings and places nearby that, you know, and there are also microbuses, such as 34 and 17 and others, that go on Pekini ave and you can take them, too. However, I usually go there by metro and that’s why I’m telling you about it and I recommend getting there by metro.

Another branch of Luca Polare is located on Aghmashenebeli street somewhere nearby the Marjanishvili metro station and you will easily find it, because it has this sign of Luca Polare and they have that ice cream cone outside and there are tables and stuff like that and it’s just on the side of the street and it’s easily noticeable. I guess, it’s just been opened recently, because I hadn’t noticed it some years ago. Well, to get there, you can take the metro and come out on Marjanishvili metro station and then you will go to your right on that Aghmashenebeli street and after some walking, maybe five minutes or so, you will see Luca Polare just on your right and it’s like a square or something like that and that’s how you notice, that you are close to that Luca Polare. Well, it’s a pretty nice place, if you want to know the truth and those tables outside are just perfect when it’s spring outside or summer or something like that, I mean, when it’s a good weather outside and you can just sit there and enjoy looking around and hanging out with your friends. And, besides, Aghmashenebeli avenue is really beautiful and you can then walk through the streets and then there’s this place there, where you can buy some different delicious milkshakesand mini donuts and coffee and chocolate and tea and other things and they are pretty cheap, I mean, the milkshakes cost just 1 lari and I really like that chocolate milkshake there and there’s always a queue there, if you want to know the truth, so that you should know, that when you get there, you may have to wait for a little bit longer, than expected.

Anyways, you can get to that Luca Polare on Aghmashenebeli street by bus, too, and that bus is bus No.20 and once I went there by it and it just went by that Luca Polare there, so that’s how I know, that it goes there, however, as I’ve already told you, I just use metro to get to that place and then walk a little and then there I am!

There’s another Luca Polare on the Round Garden in Vakeand that is a great place, too, however, I usually don’t have any business there, I mean, I don’t usually happen to be there somewhere around, so that I don’t visit that Luca Polare, if you want to know the truth. However, the place is very good and, well, just so you know, if you are there by your car, it’s not that easy to park somewhere nearby in a comfortable place, because there are so  many cars there and all of them are parked and there’s hardly any space for anyone else. So that, you shouldn’t go there by your car, rather, you can get there by bus and then walk or get there by microbus, I guess, however, I really don’t know which microbuses go there.
