What is it like to live in Tarragona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Life is so simple and relieving, you can move around the city very easily I liked it so much. The city is a port and with the beach you can enjoy a very fascinating scenes and having a very good time. There are many national days for different historical events, people wear traditional and historical customs beside the days of the fireworks. All in all it was a great experience.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tarragona?

It is so easy and very smooth to go on your study. I consider it as an educational city. Students from all over the world with different fields doing different studies is the main point of interaction and a good opportunity to develop multicultural skills.

How much does it cost to live in Tarragona?

For me around 320 euros/month. Rooms prices ranging form 130-250 euros depends on the location of the building. For the living expenses there are many supermarkets where you can buy many cheap merchandises. Shopping is cheaper than in Barcelona and in the rest of Europe.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tarragona? Is there any advice you can give?

You can find any kind of accommodation you wish from the university website where you can find the contact details. There is the university apartments and students shared flats as well as if you want a whole apartment or a studio. The university apartments are the most expensive accommodation and the cheapest is to share a flat with other students.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

You can find any kinds of food, many restaurants are available and affordable even for students like Chinese restaurants and Indian restaurants. Sea food is the common favorite dishes and the restaurants are on the port where you can have any kind of sea food and it is not expensive. Beside the pizza restaurants and McDonald.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tarragona?

The beach, the port, Plaza de la fonte, university campuses, Rambla Nova. You can say every part of the city is having different view and different story.

Is it good to eat out in Tarragona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is quite beautiful to eat out especially in Plaza de la fonte where you can meet almost everyone you know there. Some of the places are cheaper than the others beside almost all the events are there so you can enjoy the food and the event. Rambla Nova street is full of restaurants beside the fascinating view.

Is the nightlife good in Tarragona? Where is good to go?

Tarragona is so active at night especially in summer. every body goes out to have a walk, to meet friends, to eat-out, to have a drink and mainly at Rambla nova or Plaza de la fonte.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tarragona?

It is very hard to keep the balance between studying and enjoying your time there so it is better to manage your time very carefully.
