Why did you choose to go to Tarragona, Spain?

I am PhD student in Biosystems Engineering.
I choose this city for its professional professors in the University Rovira I Virgili, about my thesis.
Also this city is very beautiful with Mediterranean beaches.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was there for six months. I think Tarragona is a cheep city related to for example Barcelona and Madrid. You can rent a appropriate home with 200-250 Euro per month.
Cost depends on yourself but on average monthly 500-600 euros you can have a comfortable life.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tarragona?

You can find many good friends in Tarragona.
You can take a home or dormitory easily.
You can walking in the beautiful streets and enjoy from festivals.
There are many possibilities for the development of the University.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Tarragona to other students?

Yes, Of course
I suggest that even if it is for leisure travel to this city. You can experience peace there.

What is the food like?

I cooked more because I had a certain taste, but you can use a variety of delicious foods there.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Tarragona?

not too much.
I could find a suitable home near to University by Internet.

How much does it cost to live in Tarragona?

On average between 500-600 euros per month. It depends on you.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I think you're okay for academic activities in university. may be in outside of university you have some problems but this is solvable.
I don't know about language courses because if you know a little English language, you can life easily.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Tarragona from your city?

My country don't have direct flight to Spain. But the best way is flight to Barcelona and then you can go to Tarragona by PLANA bus from airport.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Tarragona?

You can go to Ramble Nova, Parc Center.

There are many restaurants in Ramble Nova and other streets.
Also you can find a good eating in Parc center.

Tarragona is an ancient city and touristic.
