Why did you choose to go to Tampere, Finland?

The main reason was because it's a big and beautiful city. In Tampere there is a lot to do. For me as a student I was able to find everything easily and fast as the transportation is excellent. In Tampere parties are the best in Finland in my opinion. People here are so friendly and helpful, no matter where you come from. Tampere is a lifetime experience.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Tampere?

It didn't cost me nothing to find the accommodation. Of course it costs to rent it. So in the city center prices are a bit high and it's not so easy to find an apartment there. Since Tampere its a big city, it's easier to find other apartments which are near city center. Transportation is excellent.

How much does it cost to live in Tampere?

Including everything it usually costs 500€ if you are living alone and depending on the size of the apartment. I am living in Kalkku which is around 25 minutes far from the city center and we have an apartment on rental, so we have two rooms, a bathroom, kitchen, a small room where we can leave useless stuff. The size of the apartment is 60m2, and the price is 600€ plus the electricity. Also we had to make a deposit for one month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Finnish language is one of the hardest to learn. But with interest and passion anyone can learn it. There are many language courses at the University and also outside University. Everyone here knows English. In every store or office they know English.

There are many night clubs in Tampere. I recommend you to visit Ilves because there are many people, different ages and it doesn't matter. Also Fat Lady is great. These are my favourites.

Wherever you go the food will be excellent, it doesn't matter if it's McDonalds or Burger King, or other restaurants, the food taste will be 100% fantastic. Be careful, don't eat yours fingers after you are finished with food.
