If you like cold, cloudy weather and dark, this is your place. But do not worry about it much because in the city wherever you go you can hear international students speaking English and there is almost every night some party happening. Perfect student city. Except the prices.

Population of students is huge in the city. So city is very atractive and fun.

It is not problematic, easy. You just apply to TOAS and they give you allocation to some place.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Foods are good enough. Do not expect anything fancy.

Is it good to eat out in Tampere? Can you tell us your favourite places?

There are some good pizza places. Also a lot of kebab places too. There is always the last choice of Mc Donald's.

Is the nightlife good in Tampere? Where is good to go?

Nightlife is very good. There are a lot of bars, pubs and night clubs. Whatever you like and most of them have student prices. I can recommend O'Connels and another Irish Pub is pretty good. Also Miami is ok too as a night club.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tampere?

Be ware of the prices and cold. Also buy some alcohol before coming here because Finland alcohol tax is crazy.
