What is it like to live in Tallinn? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Tallinn has a well preserved Old Town (Medieval era) with lots of pubs and clubs and restaurants so its both fun for sightseeing and partying. In summer it will be relaxing to go to walk in a park named Kadriorg, which is a larger green area with a huge art museum and President Palace and little ponds. Also, its refreshing to walk near the seaside or go to sunbathing in the Pirita beach.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tallinn?

Students have a lot of events with the Erasmus team but also Old Town is full of different events for entertainment.

How much does it cost to live in Tallinn?

Tallinn is definitely a little less expensive than most European countries however, it is not super cheap.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tallinn? Is there any advice you can give?

Depends on your budget and location. You can easily find accommodation through several web pages.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Estonia does not have a spectacular cuisine. You can order a lot of good food in cafes and restaurants but there are not many national dishes. In Christmas we eat blood sausage with cranberry jam, sour cabbage and baked potatoes, on birthdays we eat potato salad, that's about it.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tallinn?

Kumu art museum, Pirita beach side, Old Town.

Is it good to eat out in Tallinn? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

We have Lido, Vapiano and St. Patrick Pubs.

Is the nightlife good in Tallinn? Where is good to go?

Von Krahl club in Old Town, there are a lot of underground places in the Telliskivi district.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tallinn?

Stay away from drunk Russians.
