Tallinn is very calm and at the same time, bustling. Every part of the capital has lots of sightseeing.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tallinn?

Depends on the student, of course:). But usually, it is a mixture of studying and personal life, such as parties, travelling etc.

How much does it cost to live in Tallinn?

That's a tough one. The centre is pretty expensive because of the historical town, yet around it is not as expensive, yet you have to have a job to pay the rent + bills.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tallinn? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it is not. When it comes to universities, they offer themselves, and the rooms are modern, comfortable etc. However, if you prefer not to live in the uni accommodation, there are webpages that provide the necessary info (for example Airbnb).

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is delicious. Dishes are full of meat and vegetables. Every restaurant has a high variety of dishes, from soups (personally favourite is borsch), meals to desserts.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tallinn?

The old town for sure. The Kadriorg, with its palace and gardens. Also, we have a tall TV tower. Pirita Monastery.

Yes, it is. Almost every street corner has a place to eat, whether it is a multi-star restaurant or a humble sitting area. Personally, I like the Pushkin restaurant in front of Tallinn University.

It's good, of course, depends on the day. Holidays tend to have more noise and activity. The old town has a lot of places, but nightclubs and places to have a good time exist in other parrts of the city.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tallinn?

Definitely travel around the city. We have free transportation, all you need is a green card which you can by in the local kiosks (R-Kiosk). Also, when you have time, visit other cities, like Pärnu or Tartu.
