Why did you choose to go to Tallinn, Estonia?

Estonia is good to live because of not so expensive living and has good locations to visit another countries. It is not so much known but it is very interesting to see developing postsocialism country. In Estonia is also beautiful nature. Tallinn is very good place to live, many oportunities, but still is not so big and crowdy.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Semester is from october to january and I recieved around 350 eur.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tallinn?

It depends on university and department a lot. But I had to study more than in Czech, on the other hand I still had a lot of time for parties and traveling.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Tallinn to other students?

I recommend this place.

What is the food like?

Food is good but little bit expensive. Of course it depends where do you go shopping and which restaurants do you visit.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Tallinn?

You can find accommodation on your own and for free.

How much does it cost to live in Tallinn?

around 160-200 (included utilities)

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It is not so difficult and you have many oportunities to study languages in university

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Tallinn from your city?

By bus.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Tallinn?

In Old Town there are many good clubs - Mint, Hollywood...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Tallinn?

In Lido you can taste a lot of meals for good price.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Almost everything in the Old town, Kumu gallery and TV tower.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Tallinn in the future?

Read a lot about this country and about Tallinn before your arrival. Then you can find the best way to live here.
