Why did you choose to go to Tallinn, Estonia?

This country is affordable for student coming from Asia like me. The cost of living is relatively low. Free education with internationally recognized qualification.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Two years. The minimum amount is around 350€ monthly including accommodation rent. But it depends on living style of each person, the living cost can be higher.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tallinn?

Studying mostly. We have a lot of assignments to do, and also the exams.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Tallinn to other students?

Tallinn University of Technology.

What is the food like?

Not really good for me because I come from Asia where the food is tasty.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Tallinn?

Yes!

How much does it cost to live in Tallinn?

Around 86€/month including utilities in summer time and around 100€/month in winter time.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Estonian is really difficult language to learn. English and Estonian courses are available at the University.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Tallinn from your city?

By bus.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Tallinn?

I have not experienced it yet.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Tallinn?

Cooking myself. I don't know much.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Old Town.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Tallinn in the future?

Prepare yourself for winter time. It's really cold. If you have sinus infestion, be careful with it.
