What is it like to live in Taipei? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Taipei is like wanting to get fat. The place is full of food and delicious smells that you would be finding yourself digging into your pockets to see if there's still some change hiding somewhere. The weather isn't all that sunny though, it's humid and hot most of the time but when there's nice weather, it's really nice weather. Definitely recommend it if you are a food lover like me.

What is the student lifestyle like in Taipei?

Fun when you are young but it gets stressful as you get to your 3rd year of middle school because high school is almost the most important one there. It will be the variable in the future equation of your future job. But after that, it becomes like almost any other school.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is awesome and there are hundreds of varieties. Taipei is all about food! There are night markets that are famous for their delicacies and even the fried ice creams! Mm-hmmm, ice creams that are fried. The drinks are excellent, too. There seems to be something new everyday.

What places would you recommend visiting in Taipei?

The Taipei 101 is worth seeing and there are the mountains, the temples if your religion allows it, the night markets, the palace, etc.

Is it good to eat out in Taipei? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Definitely good! You'd be missing out on all the yummies if you didn't eat out. Like I said before, Taipei is all about food!

Is the nightlife good in Taipei? Where is good to go?

It's great. Even better when you go out hungry because food always tastes better when your stomach's growling at night. You could go to the Shilin Ye Shi, one of the most famous night markets or to a club.

What advice would you give future students heading to Taipei?

Make sure that you can handle a lot of stress.
