It is no difficult to find accommodation, they have great online platforms to rent places like 591.com etc, but kindly find someone who knows chinese among you, they are likely to communicate in chinese.

Cheap, oily, variety; I love the braised meat on rice.

Yeah, there's a lot of street food out there, cheap and tasty.

Is the nightlife good in Taipei? Where is good to go?

Yeah, try Zhong Xiao Dong Lu (we call it "Dong Gu"), the eastern area that is full of nightclubs.

What advice would you give future students heading to Taipei?

Learn Chinese, be brave, be humble, be polite and patient!
