Erasmus experience in Stockholm, Sweden

Why did you choose to go to Stockholm, Sweden?

I wanted to go to an English-speaking country, but I stumbled upon Stockholm by accident.

How long does your time abroad last? How much monetary aid do you receive?

7 months. I received a grant but it wasn't enough. I worked for 4 months before leaving so that I could fund myself.

What was the student atmosphere like in Stockholm?

Extraordinary. I couldn't imagine landing in such a universe. The Lappis campus is great, the housing is truly brilliant, and the student life is very present!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Stockholm to other students?

Absolutely. If you want to learn perfect and solid English, then benefit from a super cultural and human experience. Go for it!

What is the food like in this country?

So-so... but the pastries are good.

How did you find accommodation?

Really good compared to university halls in France and definitely not expensive!

What is the price of accommodation like? And the prices in general?

Compared to France, it is not expensive. But Stockholm is a rich city and the food, especially meat, is expensive.

How is learning the language? Did you have language courses organised by the University?

Yes, there are Swedish courses, but it is difficult to speak the language. It is a shame as everyone is bilingual.

What is the best way, economically, to get to Stockholm from your hometown?

Ryanair; there is no doubt about it!

Where would you recommend going to party in Stockholm?

Lappis and on campus, and Café Opera.

And to eat out in Stockholm? What are your favourite spots?

Sturekatten, an extraordinary tea room; it is worth going by (next to Stureplan).
