Top supermarkets in Spain and favourite products

After five months living in Spain, I realized that I was going shopping almost every single day. So, in this post, I am going to present you my top favourite supermarkets in Spain, particularly in Huelva. But I am sure you can find these shops anywhere in Spain and not only in Spain.

The first and the best supermarket, in my opinion, is Mercadona. In Mercadona you can find anything you want for reasonable prices. The best chocolate flakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, tasty Greek yogurts and delicious bakery products for breakfast.

Vegetables, salads, the most delicious bread with tomato sauce I have ever eaten, and other nice products.

The second, also very good supermarket is Dia. From Dia, I would recommend you to try tasty buns called ‘napolitanas con fiambre y queso’, jamon (only for 1 euro) and croquetas de jamon o de pollo, and special cheese for pasta - these are my favourites.

However, in this supermarket, you can find other various good and cheap products. For example, I was cooking a pasta and a cake buying all the products in Dia.

The next supermarket Carrefour is a bit more expensive than those previously discussed. However, it has a lot of different products, so you are given a wide choice. My favourite products are sausages called 'Jumbo' (con queso y bacon), freshly-baked bread, and extremely big palmerones with chocolate and my favourite drink - Starbucks skinny latte.

There are other nice supermarkets. For example, Lidl - quite cheap and with a broad range of products supermarket. Hipercor - the most expensive in my list but I would recommend it as well, especially for buying gifts or something sweet to treat yourself. Sometimes, there are very good discounts.

I hope this post would be useful for someone. The supermarkets that I mentioned are those of which I went more often, and the products mentioned honestly, are my favourite.
