Gaudi constructed the church with his unique Nouveau and Gothic art style.Sagrada Familia's construction was interrupted by the Spanish Civil War and after that it was progressed slowly.
Interiors of Sagrada Familia
The cathedral of the Sagrada Familia is a five-naved basilica, with four nave at each corner and one in the centre. The central nave rises above than the other four. A door is assigned to each nave that led to the unfinished glory facade. Behind the nave, in the apse there is an altar which lies in the light of the many windows of the apse.
Along with the façades which carry a rich symbology, the layout of the church are also full of symbols. Every area, every door and every column of the church has its own symbolic significance. This symbols refers to every church in Latin America on each of the five continents, to the apostles,to the great religious founders and also to the saints, the sacraments, and much more.
