Lots of variety of restaurants, some very nice ones - Thai, Mexican, Italian, English, Chinese sushi, Vietnamese, Indian, and many more.

What places would you recommend visiting in Southampton?

Walk the old walls, go down to the docks and to the museums, the shopping centre is good, sports centre and the common are lovely and green and very close to the beautiful new forest.
