Why did you choose to go to Sofia, Bulgaria?

It was far away from Basque Country and it was recommended to me.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

What is the student lifestyle like in Sofia?

There's not a lot of studying, there's a lot of partying and the atmosphere is great.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Sofia to other students?

I'd recommend the city, yes.

What is the food like there?

It's really good and not actually all that different to Basque country food.

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Sofia?

We used a company to find it. Atlasnova.

How much does it cost to live in Sofia?

Not very much. The prices are a little over half what they are here.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

You pick up the language bit by bit as you go along, but it's not hard to communicate without it.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend for a night out in Sofia?

Studenski Grad. Once Upon a Time Biblioteka and Rock 'n' rolla.

And to eat in Sofia? Where are some of your favourite places to go?

Tripe restaurants. Restaurant Hugo.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Do you have any advice for future students in Sofia?

Don't be afraid to come here, it's a city that is as incredible as it is unknown.
