Why did you choose to go to Sofia, Bulgaria?
It's a country that I didn't know much about, if I hadn't gone there for my Erasmus, I probably wouldn't have ever gone there.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I'm here for the whole academic year, but the grant only covers the first 5 months, providing €200 a month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Sofia?
It's very good.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Sofia to other students?
If they're hoping to find buildings and streets that are in a good state, no I wouldn't. If they want to be surrounded by students from all over Europe for the whole of their experience and to travel around this area of the world for very cheap, I would recommend it.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Sofia?
The universities have agreements with cheap residences, although they are not in very good condition.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Sofia from your home city?
By plane with Ryanair or Wizzair.
Where would you recommend for a night out in Sofia?
Studentki grad or Vitosha.
