What is the student lifestyle like in Siena?

Pretty relaxed I’d say. The main streets of this small town are never empty or quiet partly because of the students. You can always find a place, although small, to get together with music or not.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Siena to other students?

To someone comfortable in a small, simple town, yes. It’s an historic city and walking these streets in your everyday life feels good. Florence is 90 mins away and the great Rome 3 hours.

Are there any restaurants you want to recommend?

There are many good places to eat out. There's this pizza place near the faculty of social sciences and engineering: I Chiccheri, which I'm sure you'll notice soon enough from the long lines at lunch time; don't give it a second thought to try it. They have good pizza and student prices.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Siena?

No, I found it online.

If you receive funds for accomodation and food, not much. Otherwise, it costs between 400-700 euros sharing a flat and cooking your own food most of the time; it depends on your lifestyle.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

University of Siena has elementary courses for free, but there are also other places like the University for Foreigners.

By bus. And for longer journeys there’s the night train.
