The hottest city

In this article I would like to share with you another experience which I had in a beautiful city from Spain. Maybe, this city was the hottest city where I have ever been. But I do not regret because I enjoyed a lot walking around and discovering the beautiful capital of southern Spain. I am talking about Seville. You heard about? You were there? If yes, please share with me your experience in a comment.

How the whole story started and why I decided to go in Seville you will find out soon.

As you maybe know I am addicted traveler and I am every time ready for a new adventure or something new. In this case, I have posted an announcemnt or let's say I created a public trip on couchsurfing where I shared my intention to go somewhere in Spain and I would like to meet someone with who I can go or I can hangout there. I was very happy when someone text to me and asked if I would like to go with in Spain. Of course that I said yes and soon I was on my way to Spain. I met this girl for the first time in the bus station and immediately afterwards we started to discover Seville. We noticed immediately how hot was there. But nothing stoped us to go through the small and beautiful streets of Seville.

So, let's see what I did so far to make this trip became true.

First, I had a desire to go somewhere in Spain. Why? Because I wished for a long time to get there and to meet spanish culture, arhitecture, people and too well known tapas and spanish food.

Second, I shared my wish on my public profile from couchsurfing where I tried to find someone with who I can travel and explore. You can find my couchsurfing profile here If you would like to read more about me and my traveling experiences. Also, feel free to contact me if you need a host or you need some tips and suggestions. I am very open-minded and I am very interested to meet new people and share with them nice stories about life, traveling, lifestyle, food and a lot of things. So, if you do not have yet a couchsurfing profile I kindly recomment to create one right now and find a lot of travelers around the world, interact with them and share nice stories!

And thirdly, I took the bus to get there!

So, if you want to be in a new place you should follow very simple steps:

  1. You have to really want it
  2. You should choose if you want to travel solo or you need a travel partner for your trip. If you need a travel partner you can find it on couchsurfing.
  3. You have to get on the road with your backpack.

The hottest city

We stayed there during 2 days and one night and I think it was not enough for discovering all nice things that you can find and see in this city. But, during this days we have seen a lot of things, we tried some traditional and local food and of course we tried very delicios tapas along with a good and handcrafted beer. We walked a lot (more than 25. 000 steps in just two days) to discover as many things as we can. What I have learned? If you go in Seville you should find a couch (you can find on couchsurfing) near to the center of the city or book a room which is located as well in the center of the city. We did a mistake when we booked an Airbnb aparment which was 5-6 km far away from the center of the city, at least the apartment was very nice and with everything that we need.

My suggestions after two days that I spent in Seville are very simple: just go! Go around to discover as many things as you can! Try something new, meet new people, be curious and try to find those places where locals go.

Below you can find a list of things that I recommend to visit and enjoy:

  • Experience the passion of an authentic Spanish art form at a flamenco show in Seville! We were very lucky because we saw flamenco show in Plaza de España. It was my first time and I really enjoyd the moment!
  • Taste the typical cuisine
  • Visit the Seville Cathedral and Giralda tower
  • Visit the beautiful palace of Alcázar
  • If you can cycle then explore Seville by bike it is very cheap and easy to go from one place to another.
  • Drink handcrafted beer near to the Guadalquivir river, you can choose a bar which you can find near the to river or just hangout with your friends
  • I think that during the night Seville is much more beautiful, so it is mandatory to explore during the night. Also, take a good camera with you if you want to make some good and artistic photos with spanish arhitecture.
  • Eat tapas with iberian ham
  • Use some applications like TripAdvisor and Foursquare to find the best places where you can go to eat, to find the best prices and to read reviews
  • Use HERE WeGo app with offline map if you want to pin and save some places that you like

You can use some of my tips and suggestions but I think that best way to discover the city is to go without any direction. If you like something you will stop for a while to take a picture or find more information about that place and so on. Do not make plans for your trip because you do not know how things will go.

Travel safe and discover as much as you can!
