My Experience in Seville, Spain

What's Seville like? What is it like living there? Do you recommend it?

Seville is a beautiful and great city to live in. The climate is nice, there are only 3 cold months (cold for the people from Seville, maybe not for the French). It has a good atmosphere out in the streets. Despite the crisis, a lot of the time there are a lot of people out eating tapas and drinking beer on the terraces. It's nice to go for a stroll especially in the springtime as you can smell orange blossom, the flower from the orange tree, everywhere you go.

What's the student vibe like in Seville?

Apart from in summer, there is a big student atmosphere in Seville.

What are living costs like in Seville?

It's a lot cheaper to live in Seville than in other cities. Andalusia is generally cheaper than the rest of Spain.

Was it hard to find accommodation in Seville? Any advice?

It's not currently difficult to find accommodation.

What's Seville's food like?

The most well known food in Seville is tapas. You can try different dishes for not a lot of money. The different montaditos are really good, it's like a mini sandwich with different fillings.

And to eat in Seville? What are your favourite places?

For just eating tapas and drinking beer, I like La Plaza del Salvador.

Where do you recommend going out in Seville?

The city centre and Calle Betis.

Any advice for future students going to Seville?

Enjoy the student life in Seville. I wasn't ever an Erasmus student, but I was a student in Seville and I have some really good memories there.
