How do you find living in Seville? Do you recommend it? How is it?

Life is really good in Seville. It's very big and has everything that you could need. There is always something to do and see and the centre is very lively. It's not generally a very expensive place and it's as well connected in the city itself, with its interurban transport, as it is with other cities.

How is student life in Seville?

Seville isn't a university city strictly speaking, such as Granada for example but yes, there is a lot of partying because it has many universities and schools. There is always some party from some faculty and very diverging places to go out to, according to individual taste; from 'grotty' bars to super posh bars. There is a great mix of cultures.

How much does it cost to live in Seville?

Residing in the centre is becoming somewhat expensive but if you search enough, you can always find flats that are quite cheap. Another option is to live in a more remote neighbourhood, where you can find places to rent for 150 euros but you'll have to travel to the centre. The good thing is that with the cycle lane, you'll save a lot of money on the bus.

Was it hard to find accommodation in Seville? Can you give any advice?

It's not difficult if you set out to do so. It depends on what each person is looking for. There are thousands of posters in the faculties and many offers on the internet. There is also a place which has a database of the flats there are to let in the entire city. This establishment is opposite the pabellón de Chile, which is Seville's art school. It's next to the Lope de Vega theatre.

How is the country's food? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is very good. You can't say otherwise. I recommend eating a montadito (small sandwich) called Serranito. It's the best.

Which places do you recommend to visit in Seville?

If it's to sight-see; the cathedral, the fortress and the Plaza de España are some of the most important places. However, the beauty of Seville is simply walking through the central neighbourhoods, such as Santa Cruz or wandering through Triana. When the weather is nice, it's advisable to go to the river to lie in the grass and sunbathe.

And to eat in Seville? Can you name your favourite places?

I recommend going to the small bars in the centre, especially in the calle San Eloy which has a bar called el Patio de San Eloy. There is also an Italian in the centre, which is called la Mia Tana, in the calle Pérez Galdós. It has always been one of my favourites.

Which places do you recommend to go out to party in Seville?

There are many bars in the calle Betis. However I prefer the Alameda de Hércules which always has the widest variety of places.

Any advice that you want to give to future students in Seville?

Well, that you're infected by the joy of the city, that you take care at the fair because there is always someone who robs or beats people up (as there is everywhere), that you sunbathe a lot and whenever you can, that in summer, you drink a lot of water because if not, no human body can endure it and that you listen to the street musicians when walking around the centre - the ones they have are very good.
